In therapeutic setting reflective listening has been found to play a positive role. Reflective listening also encourages the nurse-patient relationship to be more open and active. However, nurses must be able to differentiate the boundaries between the personal and professional relationship (Barbosa et al., 2013). In nursing, empathy plays an essential role by helping the patient feel understood and accepted strengthening the therapeutic relationship. Empathy improves the coping skills of the patient as they respond positively on being accepted and respond accordingly to the nurses efforts. Patients treated by empathic nurse progresses in treatment faster than those who do not get the same service (Moss, 2015). Through clinical empathy, a nurse can understand the needs, situation of the patient, their feeling, and perspectives. Through empathy, the nurse can help people overcome negative experiences by acting on the understanding in a therapeutic manner (Webb, 2011). Sensitivity is the ability or the quality to understand the concerns of other people (Rooke, 2014). Cultural sensitivity also allows efficient delivery of patient care by understanding the faith, gender, disability, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, and race. Nurses must be sensitive to cultures other than their own, such awareness and sensitivity determines better patient outcomes (Mareno Hart, 2014). On the other hand, the prejudice, discrimination, stereotyping, portray the lack of sensitivity and are major barriers to the delivery of culturally competent care. Sensitivity improves the ethical performance of the nurses as well as strengthens the therapeutic relationship between the nurses and the patients. Nurses sensitivity of Patients traumatic experiences, pain and agony had better allow them to meet the care needs and bridge the communication gap with the patients. Sensitivity helps nurses to realize the fears of the patient and the coping skills. Therefore, nurses can respond to the challenging situation without losing connection with others (Hoeve et al., 2014). A nurse with high self-awareness is better able to take control of the situation. It is beneficial when communicating with and caring the patient. Before helping patients, nurses should have clarity in thoughts and behavior patterns to understand and empathize facilitating better personal and professional relationships (Mareno Hart, 2014). Nurse with self-awareness can promote problem solving in the patients. Without self-awareness, it is difficult for the nurses to affirm qualities and actions of the patients (Zeller Levin, 2013). There are several communication barriers to develop effective therapeutic relationship. These include shortage of nurses, language barrier, fear, education and experience gaps (Webb, 2011). In hospital, patients visit from diverse cultures and linguistic background. Nurses who are not culturally competent are unable to communicate and develop therapeutic relationship with patients. Shortage of nurses increases physical and emotional stress and job burnout due which nurses fail to meet the care needs of the clients leading to their dissatisfaction and poor patient retention. Further, less experienced or educated nurse finds difficult to understand the medical terminology, concepts which adds to confusion and errors. These communication barriers may lead to misdiagnosis and therefore, communication improvement plans are essential to overcome such barrier. Cost of training: In BAL giving training to the employees is a very important thing as they are a production oriented company. For the root level people the cost of training per person is not very high its about TX. 500 to TX. 1000. And for the management people they use provisionary period. In this time the hired people learns their works and hey are paid in a small amount. The reason for low training cost is most of their trainers are internal people. So it helps them to reduce their training cost. But for special cases they use external trainers also. 4. Steps of training and development methods used by BAL: BAL uses several steps in their training and development method. They are described below: Step 1: In first step they identity which of the employees needs training. And for that they arrange some interview session once in three months. But in special cases they also get trainers face interview again. After getting the interview of those employees the interviewers sides whether they need further training for that session or not. But for the officers the training is held in their Dacha office and it is held by the senior staffs of the department. II. Seminars: Seminars are mainly used when a new thing is introduced in the organization. For root level workers they dont get this kind of training. In this case the trainers attain the seminars and get trained and after that they train the root level workers. But in case of officers the organization arranges seminars and they get training directly from there. These seminars are mainly instructed by external trainers. Ill. Informal Learning: In BAL informal learning is also present. If employees things that they need to learn something from their seniors then they can learn it from them. And the organization also allows them to do so. 6. Evaluation of training and development methods: In BAL they have their own way to evaluate their training and development method. Firstly they take department wise interviews to check the levels of the employees. They also have something called performance card. Each department heads give their feedback about their subordinate in the performance card in every three months. After getting those feedback organization decided whether they need to improve their training methods or not. If they need further improvement then they improve that. BAL can achieve backward integration by procuring trawler which can be used to capture mother shrimp from sea. BAL should set up solar panel to take care of load shading. For forward integration BAL can establish shrimp culture firm to reduce dependency on market. BAL should also have some lobbing with government to ban the use of fry from trial sources as it destroys larva of other fish in the process. It will create huge demand for BAL. Teachers and parents both agree that the main goal in education is to master the English language. According the National Association for Bilingual Education, bilingual education seems to defy common sense. (NABE, 2004) If non-English-speaking students are isolated in foreign language classrooms, how are they to learn English? On the other hand, English Only advocates argue that any government recognition of minority languages may encourage non-English-speaking immigrants to believe they can live in America and never learn the English language conforming them to the American ways. In contrast, Stephen Krashen, a linguist at the University of Southern California, explains that bilingual education can be a crucial variable for many students learning English. By educating students in a language that can be understood, provides the knowledge and literacy needed as the student continues their educational goals. Gradually, English skills become more efficient while the key point is that language acquisition is a natural, developmental process that cannot be rushed.(Crawford, 1998) Bilingual in politics is not taken to a serious note by many. In fact, given that Americans are given the choice to learn a different language, many choose not to and display resentment towards those that are living in America and choose not to learn English. At the end of the day, Enrique, her husband, came home and asked her to accompany him to Monterrey the next day. He was in the middle of a big deal of his professional career, and someone wanted him over there taking charge of his business, it was imperative he attend that appointment! It was the only opportunity he had or they would hire someone else for the new position. In her rushed packing she included some newborn’s clothes into their baggage by mistake. She had planned to stop by the hospital to pay the balance for her new daughter’s delivery scheduled the following month, but she wouldn't have time. They woke up early in the next morning and she felt worse with her flu and allergies, so she decided to take some medicine, â€Å"once we got there, I will be ok, and then we'll come back, and I will be able to rest† she thought. They arrived at the bus station and on the way Enrique bought a newspaper. The top heading read move to â€Å"NY Mets go into 1st place after trailing for 12 games†(citation. He got excited because his father had always followed the Mets very closely (Escobar). They arrived around 5:00 in the morning, and stopped for something to eat. Enrique’s appointment was schedule for 9:00 a.m., so they had enough time to get breakfast. She got out of the car, and she felt a little dizzy, but she didn't give it any importance. They entered the restaurant, and she asked for her favorite meal, â€Å"Machacado con huevo†. As she was about to take the first bite, she felt water between her legs. â€Å"Oh my God!!! Its time†, she screamed. Enrique paid the check without eating anything and asked for the closest hospital. As soon as Irma got into the car, she fainted. Enrique was so nervous that he overlooked the first hospital in sight and kept driving. Finally they reached a hospital and the helped him to get Irma inside. They didn’t even register but went directly into the delivery room. It took more that three hours to pull her child out; Irma was unconscious. Finally, the clock announced nine o’clock and he then realized that he has missed the appointment, yet the sound of the new baby’s screaming got him from his thoughts, it was their baby! It was a chubby baby girl that weighted 9 pounds!

Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography (FPLC) High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is the workhorse for any biopharmaceutical protein downstream processing train, featuring at least twice within the train. You must recall experiencing the HPLC in one of the experiments in your CN2108 module. Read up on the essential parts of the HPLC system. In this experiment, you will use a modification of the HPLC, the FPLC (Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography System) to separate and purify a mixture of two proteins.The FPLC has been developed to specifically take advantage of the resolution capability of the HPLC for protein purification and collection. II. Concepts in LC When a mixture of proteins is injected into an LC column, the proteins interact with the stationary phase based on their respective chemistries and move through the column at different speed. Based on this differential migration, the proteins elute from the end of the column at different times and therefore become separated. This process is usually facilitated by following the proteins with a mobile phase.Although the protein mixture will have entered as a narrow, concentrated peak, it will exit dispersed and diluted by the mobile phase. This is called bandspreading. Bandspreading (which is an inverse indication of the column efficiency) must be minimized especially for large-scale protein purification. When bandspreading is severe, the proteins may not be sufficiently resolved within a reasonable time-frame. There are various ways to improve resolution, the most straightforward of which is to vary the mode of elution – isocratic versus gradient. Both of these modes are based on the strength of the mobile phase, which directly affects the interactions between the proteins and the stationary phase. In protein chromatography, it is desirable to have high yield as well as high purity of the collected fraction.Yield is the amount of a protein collected as a fraction of the total amount of the same protein fed, while purity is a measure of how much of that protein is in the fraction collected. C. Experimental I. Protein Quantification You will design an experiment to obtain the calibration curves for the two proteins provided using FPLC. You are provided with the following for this experiment: 1. An FPLC system which has been properly set up and equilibrated. You only need to inject 100  µL of each of your samples, and your data will be recorded and analysed by the computer.Note the profile of the mobile phase programmed. 2. He would eventually end up in Basle. In 1536 he was convinced by G. Farel to stay in Geneva and help in organization of the reformation.
